How Points were distributed:
Clubs received points towards the ‘Points Trophy’ from all meets within the Wide Bay region.
Meets were rescored as follows:
1st – 7 points
2nd – 5 points
3rd - 3 points
4th -1 point
5th -1 point
6th -.5 point
7th -.5 point
8th -.5 point
Once the meet was rescored, clubs were allocated points depending on their overall place at the meet. For example the Wide Bay club with the most points received 43 points (There are 43 clubs within the Wide Bay Region) towards the ‘Points Trophy’. The next highest Wide Bay club received 42 points and so on.
Trophies were awarded to the highest point scoring club from each division as well as the overall highest point scoring club at the Wide Bay Presentation Dinner held on the 26th April at Hervey Bay.
A handicap trophy was also awarded. A clubs overall points were divided by the clubs number of registered competitive swimmers.
