Nifty Noosa!

September 20th, 2011 Posted in | No Comments »

Widebay cannot thank Noosa enough for the well run, professional, friendly, fun, carnival they produced last weekend!  The day was a perfect Sunshine Coast day…….sunny and steamy!  The pools looked beautiful and also produced some fantastic results.  My favourite moment was the gorgeous girls dancing to the Macarena and, of course, the Dash for Cash races.

Only at Noosa would you get a Thai Chicken Burger at the BBQ…….delicious!

The results were coming out thick and fast from the Den of Devastation!

Thank you to you all for that wonderful support!  Here are the photos from your meet!  Congratulations!

Remarkable Remy!

Congratulations to Widebay swimmer Remy Fairweather swimming for Australia in the Commonwealth Youth Games on the Isle of Man.  Remy has won 2 golds in the 800 and 400m Freestyle to become the Commonwealth Champion twice over!  Congratulations to Remy and her Coach, Peter Gartrell at the Kawana Aquatic Centre.

Incredible Cotton Tree!

This carnival was a complete success!  A big thanks to Donna and Rob and all our terrific Tech Offs!  Thank you to all those at CT for the fabulous support to make this carnival such a great fun day!  You timekeepers were excellent!  I have never seen so many smiles at a carnival!!!

I had tears in my eyes when Isabelle Blackstone pictured below thrilled us all with her singing our National Anthem……what a cheer you got!……thank you Isabelle!

It was extremely exciting to have Mel Schlanger and Brendan Hall racing at Cotton Tree.  Brendan had just returned from his Pan Pacs with a 400 free world record.  Thanks to you both for thrilling the kids with your swimming and presenting medals!

Thank you to Ian Lovegrove (below)…….The Magnificent Music Man all the way from Dalby…..it made such a difference and adds that special atmosphere to carnivals!

It was super to see coach Marie Haseman come back to Cotton Tree with her team from Clayfield!

The chicken burger I had from the BBQ was yummy!

Here are some of those photos that I just happen to find in my camera:
